“Despite the apology from Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England, that the financial crisis and its aftermath was the fault of the bankers, it is clear that the Government intends to make us payfor their crisis through savage cuts in public services, an assault on pensions and the increase in VAT. In Aberdeen we have launched the Campaign Against the Cuts to fight back against the austerity measures and make the case for an alternative economic strategy.”
